Now in its 2nd edition, this annual event aims to reflect the many purposes of documentary film, striving to educate, to entertain, to bring attention to important issues or to simply highlight the understated wonders of everyday life. "Bryan Zanisnik & Eric Winkler's Animated Conversation" belongs to our New York Close Up film series, produced in collaboration with Art21. Dedicated to artists in the first decade of their professional career, living and working in New York City, we profile each artist in multiple short films shot over the years, offering a rare glimpse into today’s most intriguing young artists. In this piece, we follow artists Bryan Zanisnik and Eric Winkler as they discuss their friendship, the similarities between their work and their recent loss of both their mothers to cancer.
