In this short documentary piece, artist Keltie Ferris paints in isolation in her Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, as the title of this film reveals, while she discusses her artwork, creative process and the inspiration she draws from the urban environment that surrounds her. The film, created and produced by Art21, the award-winning Art in the 21st century PBS documentary series producers, was shot entirely by VideosSquared’s lead cinematographers who filmed Ferris’ creative process from every corner and every angle in an attempt to capture and shadow the artists’ movements and painting techniques–brush, palette knife and spray gun.

An Art21 Workshop Production, this film was shot on location in Brooklyn, NY with two cameras.
